A public API for reclaiming Solana rent

Everything this site does — scanning a wallet, pricing the fee, building the close and burn transactions — runs behind an internal API today. Opening it up so other apps and wallets can offer the same rent-recovery flow, under the same fee and security model, is next.

Not published yet. This page describes the shape the API is being built toward, not a live contract — check back once it ships, or watch @betterclaimsol for the announcement.

What it will do

Read reclaimable rent

Give it a wallet address, get back every empty and burnable account, the exact SOL each one holds, and the fee that applies — the same figures the public scanner shows today.

Build unsigned transactions

Request a close or burn transaction for a wallet and get back an unsigned transaction ready for that wallet to sign — your app never touches a private key or holds custody of anything.

The same security model

Sponsored transactions for empty wallets will use the same challenge-and-semantic-hash check that protects the app today, so a signature can never be replayed against a different transaction.

Why an API, not just the website

A wallet, a portfolio tracker, or an exchange's withdrawal flow all run into the same stranded rent this site was built to clean up. Rather than sending every user here, those products will be able to offer the same reclaim step natively, under their own interface, with the same fee structure that funds the service.

Also planned: the same building blocks, reachable by an AI agent — see the MCP server page.
